Buhari maintains steady lead in Katsina state as INEC declares results

Muhammadu BuhariThe All Progressives Congress (APC) The All Progressives Party’s  Presidential Candidate in Saturday’s election, President Muhammadu Buhari, is reported to be leading in the results so far collated in 20 local governments areas of Katsina State.

Results from 20 local government areas in Katsina State, out of the 34 local government areas, indicated that Buhari is leading Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party  in all the results so far collated in those local governments with a wide margin.

Prof. Fatima Mukhtar, the State Returning Officer, collating results from local government areas in the state, declared that in Daura Local Government Area, the APC scored 37,348 against PDP 4,650.

In Matazu LGA: APC got-27,625, PDP 9,15; at Ingawa LGA: APC 29,230, PDP 7,625. At Kurfi LGA: APC 25,074, PDP 9,175. Sandamu LGA: APC 29, 221, PDP 9,025. Rimi LGA: APC 33,361, PDP 8,818.

Also in Danmusa LGA: APC 30,011, PDP 7,528; Safana LGA: APC 26,631, PDP 5,756. Dutsi LGA: APC 22,583, PDP 5,330. Bakori LGA: APC 53,623, PDP 11,931 and Kusada LGA: APC 21,071  PDP  scored 6,713.

In Batsari LGA: APC 26, 774, PDP 7,916. Batagarawa LGA: APC 37,695, PDP 8,453. Bindawa LGA: APC 35, 030, PDP 9,664. Musawa LGA: APC 31,690, PDP 6,673 and in Dutsinma LGA: APC 35,700, PDP 10,440.

The results also showed that in Danja LGA: APC 41,183, PDP 9,664; Zango LGA: APC 25,207, PDP 6,891. Dandume LGA: APC 35,699, PDP 6,647. Mai’adua LGA: APC 35,198 and PDP 8,256.

Results from the remaining 14 local government areas are being awaited, as collation continues.
