The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun, Sen. Buruji Kashamu, on Wednesday unveiled some of his policies and plans for the people of Ogun, if voted into power.

He pledged to regularly set aside substantial funds as “interest-free loans” to assist the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Kashamu also promised to ensure transformation of the council areas to bring government closer to the grassroots to enable them partake in the dividends of democracy.

‘‘I will commit myself to releasing all the allocations due to local governments.

“I will not deduct from their allocations but ensure that funds meant for them get to them as and when due to enhance grassroots development,” he said.

The Ogun PDP candidate also gave assurance that he would put an end to the challenge of un-remmitted deductions from workers’ salaries being experienced by the state civil servants.

Kashamu explained that he was aware of the clamour for the “Yewa- for-Governor of Ogun” by the indigenes of the area and assured that he would do no less than what a Yewa indigene would do if voted into office.

Kashamu, therefore, solicited the support, prayers and blessings of the monarch and his subjects.

Responding, the Ilaro monarch commended Kashamu for visiting Yewaland during his campaign tour.

He prayed for God’s assistance over Kashamu’s ambition.
