General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged Christians to get jaw bones of cows instead of guns for self defence.
Adeboye said that the law is against acquisition and ownership of guns, but that jaw bone is allowed for demonstration to children and possibly, defence.

Adeboye who was clarifying an earlier message where he was quoted to have asked Christians to buy guns for their self-protection especially in the churches during service, said that Samson was victorious in biblical times with jaw bones and not an AK-47.

In his July Thanksgiving sermon from Mount Camel, the respected Cleric, generally known and addressed as Daddy GO took his text from 1Samuel 2:6-8, with the theme, Meant For The Top, urged his children to always remember that nothing happens to man, including death, without God’s knowing.
Consequently, he added that our enemies coming to the church will meet God Almighty at the gate.
Therefore, he advised that Christians should arm themselves with the jaw bone of cows which can be regarded as usually being meant for demonstration to the children and, which requires no permission adding that the essence is to ward off unwanted visitors to the church.
He urged Christians to always strive to be at the top as that is God’s wish for His children.
He advised all Christians to arm themselves with deligence, spirit of God and purity as necessary ingredients to reach the top.
While urging Christians to refrain from acts of laziness, the man of God said, although it is important to be intelligent, but more important to be deligent.
The spirit of God, according to him is necessary because it has proved to have assisted so many people in the Bible like, Joseph, who woke up as a prisoner and went to bed as a king.
Similarly, Daniel was regarded as a man with excellent spirit and went to the top also.

He admonished Christians to be pure because the spirit of God is holy and pure.
He said that only those that have been saved,  baptized by both immersion and holy spirit can enjoy the benefits of being there and to reigh with Him.
