AfDB President Akinwunmi Adesina To Seek Ruling Party Ticket To Run For President, Gets Nomination Form

A coalition of Groups has obtained copies of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for Adesina, President of the African Development Bank and former Minister of Agriculture, to vie for president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 

The coalition is led by the Head of One Nigeria Group, Mohammed Saleh.

The coalition of 28 groups consists of the Youth Arise Movement, Nigerians in Diaspora One Nigeria Group, Prudent Youth Association of Nigeria, women groups, farmers, people with disabilities and other civil society groups.

The groups raised the N100 million fee to purchase the forms for the former minister.

Although details are still sketchy, but news have been making rounds since last year that the former agriculture minister was  eing sponsored by one of the country’s president, and a retired General.
