Northern leaders and Stakeholders in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have insisted that the zoning arrangements agreed upon in the sharing of offices at the May 21, 2016 National Convention of party remain intact
The leaders who are currently meeting at the Ajuji Hotel, Abuja, are insisting that nothing will change the zoning arrangement while the Chairmanship seat zoned to the South, remains the way it was agreed upon then.
However the Northern leaders warned the South to put its house in order and present an acceptable candidate whom will be voted for at the convention.
This is because according to them,, the Northern PDP members have the figure and population to substantially decide who becomes the party Chairman, and will use its votes in doing so, if an unacceptable person is put forward by the South as a consensus candidate.
The leaders expressed concerns aboutbunhealthy completion on the south west which has theandate to produce the chairman currently being contested by Bode zGeorge as well as recent presidential ambition declared by Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state
