Buhari presides over FEC after seven weeks

President Muhammadu Buhari is presiding over the Federal Executive Council meeting after seven weeks.
Dressed in white babanriga, Buhari who returned from medical vacation in London after 50 days entered the council chambers at exactly 10am and started the meeting with humour.  The meeting is currently holding in the council chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
A mild drama ensued after the national anthem. The president nominated the minister of transformation Rotimi Ameachi to offer the Christian prayer and after he did, Buhari then said “I have not seen Lai”, in return Lai Mohammed the minister of information shouted “I am here Sir”. Other members of council broke out in laughter as the President asked him to offer the Muslim prayer. 
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over the meeting for seven weeks and held one of the longest meetings in the life of the administration which lasted for seven hours.
The council is currently in its closed door session.
