Again, Senate rejects Magu as EFCC chairman

For the second time in three months, the Senate on Wednesday rejected the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as substantive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This followed a security report by the Department of State Services (DSS), which described the Acting EFCC boss as unfit for the position and a liability to President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption.
He was rejected after his screening by Committee of the Whole.
