He explained that the enforcement exercise would focus on the major roads till the end of December after which the team would move to inner streets in the areas.

Bello said, “On Monday (today), we will operate on Babatunde Dabiri Street, Admiralty Road, Fola Osibo Street, Omorinre Johnson Street, Hakeem Dickson Street and Ogbunike Street, among others in the Lekki area.”

Also speaking on the exercise, the Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (enforcement) Unit, SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, sought the cooperation of all residents of Ikoyi, Lekki, and Victoria Island.

Egbeyemi also urged residents of the areas to report any environmental nuisances that the team might have missed “for immediate action.”

He said other streets that would be reached by the committee included Ahmadu Bello, Adetokunbo Ademola, Bishop Aboyade Cole, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Ajose Adeogun, Sanusi Fafunwa, Adeyemo Alakija, Akin Adesola, Adeola Odeku, Kingsway, Norman Williams, Raymond Njoku, Bourdillon, Cameron, Lugard and Alexander.
