The hope of the former deputy governor of Central Bank, (CBN) to slug it out with Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress) APC), among others in the 2023 presidential elections may have been dashed.
This is because Dumebi Kachikwu has been declared the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the presidential primary held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Wednesday.
Prior to the exercise, the former CBN deputy governor had vowed to defeat Tinubu and Abubakar respectively in next year's elections.
Moghalu joined the ADC in October 2021 and was the presidential candidate of YPP in the 2019 elections.

Two thousand one hundred persons were picked as delegates from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Twelve aspirants, comprising five women, and seven men, contested for the exalted position. Two of them were absent from the exercise, while an aspirant Mani Ibrahim withdrew from the race
