It will be recalled that over one million candidates sat for the examination and had been clamouring for the release to enable them to begin admission for the 2019/2020 academic year.

The Public Relations Officer of NECO, Mr. Azeez Sani, also confirmed the release in a note to our correspondent.

“Neco releases the 2019 June/July SSCE results. Also, 71 per cent of the candidates obtained five credits in subjects including English and Mathematics,” he said.

Sani had noted that the marking of the answer scripts of the candidates took two weeks across the country and ended on Saturday, August 10.

The SSCE is conducted for candidates in their final year in secondary school.
