Emerging reports say the home of the former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, was on Sunday night raided by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Though the anti-graft agency is yet to issue an official statement on the raid, Ripples Nigeria gathered that over 20 of EFCC operatives took part in the raid.

The operatives were said to have spent no less than five hours in the former governor’s house in Talata Marafa.

Yari was a former chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum. He is a chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC). He is the second immediate past governor, after Rochas Okorocha, whose house has been raided by EFCC, supposedly over corruption allegations.
