The face-off between Governor Rochas Okorocha and his deputy Uche Madumere deepened on Tuesday as the Imo State House of Assembly began impeachment proceedings against Madumere.
The proceedings which began at 10 am, was still ongoing at press time.
Madumere is accused of gross misconduct, absence from office for more than three months without permission, refusal to carry out duties assigned to him by the governor, refusal to attend the State Executive Council Meeting, refusal to attend meetings with the governor and members of exco and imprisonment for theft in the USA.
