Former President Muhammadu Buhari is dead. The family of the former President announced the passing away of Buhari on Sunday.

Metrobusinessnews.com (MBN) reports Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s president from 2015 to 2023, died in an undisclosed clinic in London, as confirmed by the family.

Born on 17th December 1942 in Daura, Katsina State, Buhari retired as a Major General from the Nigerian Army, and was military Head of State from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985.

Meanwhile, official spokesperson to the former President, Garba Shehu, has confirmed the development.

“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London,” he wrote.
