The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates (WASSCE), 2024.

The results were made available to candidates on Monday, August 12, 2024.

The examination body disclosed this in a Monday post on X.

The message read, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024.”

The school examination was taken by 1,814,344 candidates in 22,229 secondary schools nationwide.

Out of the 1.8 million students, 902,328 (49.73 percent) are males and 912,016 females (50.27 percent).

The 1.8 million candidates were examined in 76 subjects, made up of 197 papers while 30,000 secondary school teachers supervised the examination.

The release of the 2024 WASSCE results will brighten the chances of candidates, who applied for admission in 2023/2024 academic session into the universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
