Court Declares Jonathan Qualified To Contest 2023 Presidential Election

The Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has ruled that former President Goodluck Jonathan is qualified to contest the 2023 general election.

The presiding judge, Justice Isa Dashen, gave the judgement on Friday.

Dashen also held that the right of Jonathan to seek another term in office cannot be restricted by any retroactive legislation.
