The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday moved the World Cup playoffs between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Stars of Ghana to new dates.
This was made known by the Nigeria Football Federation’s Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, who said the two-legged affair will no longer hold as earlier scheduled.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Olajire said the matches which were earlier scheduled for March 24 and March 27 will now hold on March 25 and 28 respectively.
“The opening leg of the fixture at the Cape Coast Stadium will now take place on March 25, starting from 7:30 p.m Ghana time, which will be 8:30 p.m in Nigeria.
“The return leg match will now hold at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on March 29, starting from 6 p.m Nigeria time,” Olajire stated.
The winners of the double-header is expected to advance to the 2022 FIFA World Cup billed for Qatar in November.
