After a prolonged legal battle characterized by alleged witch hunting and suspicion, former South African president, Jacob Zuma has finally been sentenced to jail.

Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Suspended, Court Gives Further Directives

Zuma was sentenced by a South African court to 15 months’ imprisonment.

His reign as president was marred by corruption scandals. He had refused to appear before the court citing witch-hunting and distrust in the judicial system.

His conviction was announced on Tuesday.
