La BEI injecte 170 millions d’euros dans le projet de création de la Banque de Développement du Ghana

La Banque Européenne d’Investissement (BEI)  vient de dégager une enveloppe170 millions d’euros pour soutenir le projet de création de la Banque de Développement du Ghana.

L’accord de financement a été paraphé mercredi 19 mai  par la ministre ghanéenne des Affaires étrangères et de l’Intégration régionale, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey et Werner Hoyer, le président de la BEI en Belgique en  présence du président Nana Akufo-Addo.

Selon les autorités ghanéennes,  la future banque devrait être l’un des piliers du programme de relance de l’économie du Ghana dénommé  l’« Obaatampa ».

La même source explique que, « l’objectif assigné à la Banque de Développement du Ghana consiste, à revitaliser  le tissu économique en stimulant notamment  la croissance du secteur privé  par le biais d’une  transformation de la structure de l’économie ».
