The speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Michael Adeyemo, is dead.

He died on Friday of an undisclosed ailment.

Some members of the House of Assembly confirmed his death to Tribune, on Friday.

According to the Twitter handle of the Head of Digital Communications, Oyo State, Babajide Fadoju, @BabajideFadoju, the late speaker was a gentleman.

Rt Hon Michael Adeyemo was not just the Speaker Oyo State of assembly, he was an Egbon.
He embodied the total qualities of an omoluabi.
He was a leader.
He was a great man.
Sadly, he has gone to be with His maker.

His body is currently being taken to the morgue.
