He also commended the efforts of all the security agencies for demonstrating professional competency in managing the recent upsurge in clashes in the country.

He added that the various military operations and efforts of other security agencies was a testimony of federal government’s commitment towards resolving security challenges across the country.

“The Inspector General of Police has demonstrated professional competency in managing the upsurge of security challenges in some parts of the country.

“It is indeed heart warming that the Nigerian Army, the Air force, the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Security and other paramilitary agencies have lived up to their mandate.

‘’They have taken up the onerous task of curtailing various security challenges and insurgency facing the country with a large amount of successes,” he said.

Bello said that the state government has identified 23 designated grazing reserves in the state to curb herders and farmers clashes in Niger.

He said that two of the grazing reserves in Iri in Rijau and Kampanin Bobi in Mariga Local Government Areas with 14,000 and 30,000 hectares have been gazetted.
