Yusuf Buhari unresponsive to treatment, to be flown to Germany tonight

Yusuf Buhari, the son of Nigeria’s President will be flown to Germany for further medical treatment.

Yusuf has been receiving treatment at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, but has remained unresponsive.

Renowned neurosurgeons, Professor Temitayo Shokunbi and Professor Bello Bala Shehu, the current vice chancellor of Federal University Birnin-Kebbi, have been taking charge of his treatment.

Yusuf and his friend, Bashir Gwandu, were severely injured along Gwarimpa road in Abuja on December 26, 2017.

He could not be immediately be airlifted outside Nigeria due to the severity of injuries to his brain.

Yusuf will now be transferred tonight to St. Josefs Hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany, Wednesday night.

According to Saharareporters, he will be accompanied by his mother, Aisha Buhari, the daughter of the President, Mrs. Halima Buhari-Sheriff, the personal physician to the first lady, Dr. Kamal Mohammed and three other aides.

Recall that Aisha was earlier on admission for high blood pressure at Cedarcrest Hospital.

She left the private facility last week after her health improved.
