The training was facilitated by the Infrastructure Concession and Regulatory Commission (ICRC) with support from the World Bank.

The successful candidates, drawn from a number of Federal Government MDAs as well as MDAs from Kaduna State government and some private sector participants, were awarded their certificates.

Engr. Chidi Izuwah, the acting Director General was represented at the certificate presentation in Abuja by Mr. Mike Ohiani, the Executive Director, Public Private Partnership Resource Department.

He said, the CP3P is a foremost certification programme for PPP practitioners worldwide.

“The Globally endorsed programme is an innovation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), The Inter-American Development Bank (IDP), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Multilateral Investment Fund (IMF), and the World Bank Group (WBG) and part funded by the Public Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF) with a shared vision of enhancing PPP performance globally.”

The programme was developed by APMG U.K, a broadly defined and the most reputable global accreditation and examination institute he explained.

Mr Gabriel Ekanem, the Chief Executive of Weircapacity Ltd, a Nigerian consulting firm whose firm provided the CP3P training said the candidates went through rigorous training process and wrote an exam to qualify.

He said the 55 successful candidates represented 2/3 of the total number of candidates who undertook the firm’s inaugural CP3P training in Nigeria.
