17 state governors from the South-West, South-East and South-South under the aegis of Southern Governors Forum (SGF) Monday, met in Lagos to discuss latest national issues and forge stronger partnership among the three geo-political zones.
At the end of the closed door meeting, the Governors under the aegis of Southern Governors Forum all pledged their allegiance to the unity and indivisibility of the country but resolved that the country must be restructured
Reading the communique on behalf of the governors, the co-host, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode said the governors also agreed to collaborate with one another for the growth and development of their economy.
According to to him “The Southern Governor’s restated their commitment to a united and indivisibility of Nigeria and security of lives and property of its citizens”.
He also said the Governors elected him as Chairman and Governors Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa and David Umahi of Ebonyi as co- chairmen.
