Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a list of ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
The nominees are Henry Ikechukwu – Abia State, Umana Okon Umana – Akwa-Ibom State; Ekuma Joseph – Ebonyi State; Goodluck Nana Obia – Imo State; Umar Ibrahim Yakub – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegorioye – Ondo State; Odo Udi – Rivers State.
The development may have ended Speculations that some former ministers who resigned for presidential Primaries had been lobbying the president to come back.
It could not be confirmed the fate of the junior ministers who had also been acting, though, unofficial, as to whether they would be elevated or that the new appointees would head the vacant ministries.
“In Nigeria and particularly, with thus government, anything can happen,“ says an analyst who pleaded for anonymity.
