Suspected Boko Haram militants kill seven Nigerian soldiers, capture 13, sources say

Kiri High School in Aiyetoro Kiri, located in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The suspected bandits attempted to kidnapped school children before they were repelled by hunters and Vigilantes who were on ground.

ARISE NEWS gathered that the incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday in Aiyetoro Kiri in Kogi State.

The Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area Barr. Zacheus Dare confirmed the incident to Arise News via a telephone interview.

He noted that vigilantes and hunters on ground repel the attack of the bandits and are currently trailing them in the forest in collaboration with joint security task force in the State.

His words “There are two casualties. One hunter, and one other person was killed through stray bullets. Nobody was kidnapped. We were there till day break. We are after them inside the forest. The joint security task force both Soldiers, Police , Local hunters are after them right now. Let it be on record that no school children was kidnapped”.
