Un appui de 83 milliards de la banque mondiale pour lutter contre les inondation au Sénégal

Le Conseil d’administration de la Banque mondiale a approuvé vendredi un financement de 155 millions de dollars (83 milliards de Francs CFA) pour appuyer le Sénégal à réduire les risques d’inondation dans les zones périurbaines de Dakar et à améliorer les capacités de planification et de gestion intégrées des risques d’inondation dans certaines villes du pays avec Projet de Gestion des Eaux Pluviales et d’Adaptation au Changement Climatique (PROGEP 2).

 »Le gouvernement du Sénégal salue l’approbation du PROGEP 2 par notre principal partenaire, la Banque mondiale. Ce soutien va renforcer les efforts du Sénégal dans la lutte contre les inondations dans la zone de Keur Massar et d’autres régions du pays. Ce projet va impacter plus 120 mille personnes et permettre l’aménagement de la zone concernée », a déclaré Oumar Guèye, ministre des Collectivités territoriales, du Développement et de l’Aménagement des Territoires.
