The governor also promised to employ new drivers for the company and absorb those who had been engaged as casual staff.

He said the buses, when provided, would provide employment opportunity for more drivers and other supporting staff.

Bindow said the would provide 50 buses in his first year in office and same number in the second year, if re-elected.

He urged workers of the company to shun unnecessary ethnic and religious discrimination and solicited for their support in Saturday polls.

Earlier, Alhaji Ahmadu Nyako, General Manager of the service, urged the government to absorb the casual workers engaged by the organisation.

Nyako commended the governor for the provision of good roads in parts of the state, adding that drivers were the direct beneficiaries of the road network.
