AEDC Makes Good Its Threats, Lists Out FAAN DHQ, Ministries, States, Others For Disconnection Over Outstanding Bills

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has made good it’s threats to disconnect some customers with outstanding bills within 72 hours.

AEDC issued the warning on Thursday in a statement by Adefisayo Akinsanya, its head of marketing and corporate communications.

The company advised customers to settle their accounts by June 3 to prevent service disruption, stressing that payments must be made “within 72 hours of this notice”.
The Abuja DisCo has followed up after the threats with the names of the affected customers on Saturday.

”This is to inform the general public that AEDC will disconnect all customers with outstanding
electricity bills on June 3, 2024.
Timely payment of electricity bills is crucial for the continued operation and enhancement of
AEDC’s infrastructure, ensuring we can deliver efficient and reliable service to our community.
We therefore urge all customers with debts to pay all outstanding bills before the deadline
to avoid service interruption.,” the statement read..

It further listed the customers with outstanding bills to include; Nigeria Army, Nigeria Airforce, Defence HQ, Federal Capital Development Authority, Kogi State Government, Niger State Government, Nigeria Police Force HQ, Nigerian Army Barracks, Power House, SGF House I, Head of Service, Fed. Min of Education, and Fed. Min of Women Affairs.

They also include , Fed. Min of Industry, Fed. Min. of Trade, Fed. Min. of Interior,
Fed. Min. of Water Resources, National Stadium, Goodluck Jonathan Athletics Hall, Fed. Min. of Finance, Fed Ministry of Education, National Planning Com (Budget), Federal Ministry of Works, FAAN Abuja, All other customers owing AEDC
