Ola said the reinstatement of the flights followed the suspension of an earlier decision by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria’s (FAAN) to withdraw Aviation Security, fire fighting and rescue services to the airports.

“Arik Air regrets any inconvenience the earlier closure of the three airports may have caused its esteemed customers.

“The airline assures customers of a hitch-free operation this festive season,” he added.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that FAAN had in a Notice To Airmen (NOTAM) stated that it would be withdrawing Aviation Security, fire fighting and rescue operations the airports effective from midnight Dec. 9 over alleged indebtedness.
