Balarabe said that construction work at the complex which began immediately the job was awarded in 2016, stopped due to change of design.

“The total contract sum was N445.2 million as at when it was awarded and the contractor has so far been paid N342.6 million

“Work has reached 37 per cent completion on the facility earlier scheduled to be completed in 2017, but it will now be completed by January 2019,” he said

The commissioner said that the 27 office accommodation has eight committee rooms and one public hearing hall.

He said that the total contract sum covers the construction of the assembly complex, Assembly Service Commission’s office, clinic and renovation of the current assembly office.
