Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State have condemned the blockade of National Assembly by operatives of Department of State Services on Tuesday.

The governors took to their Twitter handles, to express their opinions. Wike said: “The assault on the National Assembly by security forces ordered by the APC Federal Government is condemnable and has the capacity to truncate the nation’s democracy.”

While Fayose said, “Shameful display of tyranny at the NASS. At this point, we can only pray to God to save democracy in our country from the hands of these tyrants. But I warned! I warned those who brought Buhari in 2015 and I kept warning even after he was elected. #SaveOurDemocracy.”
