The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX) in collaboration with Brussels Invest & Export, HUB Brussels and the Nigerian Belgian Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) led a three-day Economic Mission to Lagos, Nigeria.

The Mission brought together leaders in Energy, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Telecom and ICT with the aim of creating opportunities for Nigerian businesses, as well as strengthening Nigeria’s economic and trade relationship with Belgium.

The organizers led by representatives from AWEX, Mrs. Marysol Michez, HUB Brussel, Mrs. Carole Mone and NBCC, Mrs. Paulette Van Trier, expect that the relationships established during the economic trade mission to Nigeria will lead to the signing of contracts, partnerships, or opening of subsidiaries of Belgian companies in Nigeria.

The trade mission, which also served as an opportunity for more personal interaction, began with an Intro-Session in NBCC venue, followed by a visit to Eko Atlantic and a meeting at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). The business meetings were designed to initiate the strategic partnerships that can mutually benefit the growth of the parties involved.

Apart from the economic mission, Belgian companies also participated in the Nigeria’s 4th International Trade Show on Agriculture, Food Processing & Packaging Technology and Food at Landmark Center, Lagos
