NBA Stages Protest Against Ambode On Land Use Charge

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ikeja Branch today commenced the much talked about protest against the reviewed Land Use Charge Law in Lagos.

The NBA chairman, Ogunlanavlead members of the branch asbestos other in the protest despite speculations as to whether the protest would go on.
 Mr. Adesina Ogunlana, the branch Chairman took to his Facebook page yesterday assuring that it will go on as planned.
Attempt by the Lagos police boss to stop it also failed but report says they agreed to provide security cover.
On his own the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem also failed to persuade his colleagues at the bar to shelve the protest.
Addressing the protesters this morning, Mr. Ogulana urged them to be peaceful and focus on the objective of the strike, which he said is a clear no to oppressive tax regime.
The protest is ongoing…..
