He was accompanied by Kayode Ajulo, his lawyer.

The trio smiled as they posed for photographs.

Details of Afegbua’s visit would be disclosed later.

The police had declared him wanted over a statement he issued on behalf of his principal on Sunday.

Hours after the statement was made public, a counter statement was released, but Afegbua responded saying those who love Babangida more than himself issued the second statement.

Subsequently, the former military ruler confirmed the authenticity of Afegbua’s statement in a chat with THISDAY.

The police had declared Afegbua wanted for “injurious falsehood”.
