Vice President,Yemi Osinbajo,Inspector General of Police,Abubakar Idris and Borno State Governor,Kassim Shettima are currently having a closed door meeting at the Presidential Villa.
The meeting which involves other stakeholders is in connection with programmes outlined by the Federal Government to rebuild major infrastructures destroyed in the wake of insurgent crisis in the North East.
The rebuilding programme which is in partnership with state governors from the region has been code named “the Bama Initiative”.
The initiative which is coming amidst renewed bombings in the North East is being driven by the Vice President.
It is targeted at encouraging people displaced by the Boko Haram sect to go back home and re-integrate fully with their communities.
Recall that in recent times, the Boko Haram sect intensified bombings in the region, forcing Osinbajo who was in acting capacity to order the relocation of the military chiefs to the troubled region.
