An embarrassing video has surfaced online showing the moment a group of South Africans confronted and chased away Nigerians who were selling goods by the roadside.
In the viral clip, which has sparked outrage across social media, the South Africans were seen shouting at the Nigerian traders, ordering them to pack up their belongings and “go back home to fix their country.”
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred in a busy marketplace in South Africa, where several Nigerian street vendors operate.
However, the caution “No trading” was later put on the spot, stressing that no Nigerians should perform trade in the place.
The angry South-African guys arrived in numbers, accusing Nigerians selling on the roadside as being too smart and clever in another man’s land.

The Nigerian traders hurriedly gathered their wares as the angry mob advanced.
According to reports, the confrontation was allegedly fueled by growing tensions over claims that foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians, were “taking over” small businesses and job opportunities meant for locals.

Many social media users condemned the act, describing it as another episode of xenophobia, a recurring issue in South Africa that has strained relations with other African nations. Others, however, called for dialogue, urging both sides to promote peace and mutual respect.
