Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, Died at 91 After Over Six Decades on the Throne
Oba Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebuland is  one of Nigeria’s longest-reigning and most influential traditional rulers.
The respected monarch passed away on Sunday, just hours after the announcement of the death of his close friend and former president, Muhammadu Buhari.
Oba Adetona ascended the throne in April 1960 and remained a towering figure in Yoruba land and Nigeria at large for over six decades.
