Curious Ododo’s Achievements: Lists Meeting Ribadu, Visit To Okene, Reception, Among Others, In First 100 Days As Kogi Governor

 

 

For the people of Kogi , it’s time to role out drums in celebration of achievements of governor Usman Ododo in the last 100 days he assumed office as governor of the state

Consequently, Ododo has listed meeting with Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser (NSA), as part of his achievements in the first 100 days in office.

On January 27, 2024, Ododo was sworn in as the governor of Kogi after winning the November 2023 governorship election in the state.

He was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and succeeded Yahaya Bello, who was the governor from 2016 to 2024.

On May 5, 2024, Ododo clocked 100 days in the office.

In a flyer shared across his social media handles, Ododo listed some of his achievements in the first 100 days in office.

The achievements are in five major categories namely; governance, agriculture, education, health care, and general information.

Under the governance category, the governor also listed a reception organised for him in Okene, his home town, as part of his achievements, as well as participation in the meeting of Progressive Governors Forum in Abuja, among others.

The Kogi governor listed “meeting with the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu”, as his seventh achievement, while “Announcement of the FIRST SET OF APPOINTMENTS on the first day of office as his first achievement in office.

The list also included a visit to his village, Okene, a “courtesy visit by Ife-Olukotun Community in Yagba East Local Government Area,” participation in the Meeting of Progressive Governors Forum in Abuja, and a “joint meeting of the Governors of Kogi, Ondo, Taraba with the Hon. Minister of Agriculture & Food Security, SenatorAbubakar Kyari.”

The Kogi governor also mentioned the “distribution of 105 operational vehicles and 42 motorcycles to vigilante services for community policing” as achievements.
