*As Kogites Continue To Condemn Election Process
Kogi indigenes have continued to condemn the process of the election that has produced, what analysts regard as a controversial winner as the governor-elect.
The Saturday off-circle governorship elections that took place in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi have specifically produced Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner in Kogi.
However, both local and international observers confirmed that the election in the state was mirred by Voter intimidation, stuffing of ballot boxes with prefilled election results forms, inflation of voters list, among others.
Even some security agents deployed to the state to carry out their constitutional assigned responsibilities were alleged to have compromised on many grounds.
Specifically, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has confirmed that three suspects arrested by soldiers during the just concluded governorship election in the state are police officers.
MetroBusinessNews (MBN) recalls that soldiers on election duty in Okene, on Saturday, intercepted black-coloured security vehicles and arrested occupants of the cars.
The soldiers made other arrests during the election. Most of the miscreants were suspected to be political thugs.
However, the IGP, in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that three of the suspects are policemen.

The police boss, while thanking officers who participated in the Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa State off-circle election, vowed to sanction erring officers.
The statement reads partly, “In Kogi State, it has been confirmed that three officers who were arrested by soldiers and handed over to the Police were indeed police personnel but were found to be escorting a VIP contrary to directives.
“Others who were arrested by election officers escorting VIPs during the polls will also be sanctioned as such actions are against established protocols, and the officers involved will face disciplinary measures as a consequence.”
