APC Convention: Ebri Squares Up Against Oshiomole ,Declares June 6

T he formal withdrawal of Chief John Oyegun, outgoing national chairman of the All Progressives Party national Chairmanship racey at the June 23 National convention May have  thrown open the contest to new comers as  Chief Clement Ebri,.former governor of Cross River State  on Saturday obtained  nomination and expression of interest forms for the party’s National chairmanship position.

According to sources Ebri’s supporters obtained the form for him at the cost of N 500,000 adding that he would be making his official declaration for the APC National chairmanship position on Wednesday.
The former governor said his interest was to build a United party that would be all inclusive.
Ebri would be the  second person after former Edo State governor,  to indicate interest for the position zoned to the South South geopolitical zone.
Oyegun had while announcing his withdrawal said he took the decision in the interest of the party.
Ebri, is said to have sent letter expressing his interest to lead the party to the APC governors and Presidency.
