“I Withdraw My Membership From APC Today”………says Buhari’s Apostle, Haruna Sa’eed

Politicans in Kaduna were shocked today, as a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of Congress for Progressive Change in Kaduna State in 2011, a major loyalist to President Muhammadu Buhari, Haruna Sa’eed dumped the party.
Speaking to Journalists in his office in Kaduna, Sa’eed said,
“I Haruna Yunusa Sa’eed ‎have decided today 15 March 2018 to withdraw my Membership from APC.. I have been a founding member of the party based on the merger that came to be which led to the ruling party.
“I happen to be a key member of the CPC,  not only been a member but a flag bearer of the party in 2011 in Kaduna State.
“In fact, we won the election at that time but we were short-changed in the usual manner by the then ruling party the PDP.
“I played a vital role in APC as a dominant player but the activities of the arty in the state left so much to be desired. Because of that all efforts that we have made to see that things changed for the better have  been in vain”.
“Expecially those of us that are not being considered as members of the party. Whatever we said seem not to be listened to. Whatever we asked for is never considered.”
“Indeed the party has chosen to look at the members differently”
Whatever is being done today is only to certain section of the party and a party is not run like that. ‎Party is supposed to be that every member has an equal space to contribute.”
“Since that is not the case then I don’t think I should be part of it now. which is why I withdrew from the party today.”
The former Accountant General of the State when asked his next line of action disclosed that ” I think we will ponder over issues,  will look at the situation myself and other colleagues that have decided to take this line of action will decide on appropriate time ‎for the next immediate step to take based on consultation.
On whether he still has ambition to contest
“‎We will look at things the way they are and the way they will be. So events will continue to unfold and I’m sure the event of today will equally lead to other events and because of that it will hasten on our part to say our next move”.
“Every party ‎exists in providing space and if that fails to exist, if issues were not carried out to the satisfaction of each members they end up being aggrieved.”
“But on individual basics I can tell you that many things that we believed should  have happened in Kaduna State were not done.”
“The party in kaduna had a lot of crisis and there has being no positive move to address the crisis. I have given my contribution on the way forward many times but never any action taken.”
“It had gotten to a time where party could not hold meeting until directed to hold meeting and Haruna Sa’eed will not be seen as significant enough to be invited. I was not even considered to be a stakeholder in kaduna State.”
“I was part of the people that formed this party.  I was also a flag bearer of CPC. ‎But still this party didn’t consider me a stakeholder. Again, the Party has no leadership in the state which we have said over and over again.
“No chairman, no secretary no vital leadership in the state. They refused to meet to see that certain things are done and if anybody voices out anything then the party takes defence.”
“You don’t defend anything that is obvious. If we asked ‎for certain things to be done in order for the party to move foward we are doing so because we believe it is for the betterment of the party and those of us members and in general the state.
“These are issues that we can refer to as personal or otherwise with far reaching consequences.
Speaking on Tinubu’s committee
“There was lack of regards to us even when other measures are been carried out, no group ever came to Kaduna to speak to Haruna Sa’eed group we have never being consulted because we don’t fight, we don’t abuse, we don’t disparage, we don’t use dirty languages and we don’t ask for things,”.
“Then it is believed that we don’t matter and so we don’t belong. So nobody will come to consult us.,”
“We are not taking this decision simply to draw attention. If a party’s worth its salt, it should be able to identify those members who significantly contributed to the growth of the party.
Asked if he might later have a rethknk about his decision, he said, “‎I don’t think we will have a rethink about our decision.”
