Sule Lamido remanded in prison for allegedly inciting violence

Former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido, has been remanded in prison by a magistrate court sequel to his arraignment for allegedly inciting disturbance. Chief Magistrate Usman Lamin, ruled that Lamido is to be in the Dutse prison until May 4 when applications for his bail will be decided, Premium Times reports.
Meanwhile, PDP has called for the unconditional release of the former and other political detainees in government custody.
